Learn how to set up your di2 front derailleur electrical limits and index or micro-adjust your di2 rear derailleur using E-Tube Project 4.

The Shimano 2x11 speed Front Derailleur features synchronized shift, ensuring ergonomic shifting operation without stress, race endurance for less damage in crash, quick and smooth front shifting under high pedaling torque and it maintains compact and smooth appearance.
It has a top gear capacity of 50-55 teeth and a total capacity of 16 teeth.
Like the other modern front derailleurs, this FD-R9150 has one support bolt and only a top limit bolt. Setting the low limit is done electronically, as well as fine-tuning the top limit.
The process for setting the limits correctly is described on this page: set up one bolt front derailleur limits.
If you're trying to build a bike relatively cheap you might want to have a look at the alternatives to this front derailleur. DURA-ACE is top quality, but that comes at a cost.
The Ultegra FD-R8050 and GRX FD-RX815 are both fully compatible with the DURA-ACE R9150 series and can be used instead of this FD-R9150.
Note that the older FD-6870 and FD-9070 will work too, but their synchronized shift functionality is a bit limited. I therefore do not recommend using those older front derailleurs on modern bikes.
